dc.description.abstractIn this era of explosive growth in computing ownership coupled with deep newlinepenetration of internet connectivity with cheap data rates, every industry from newlineentrainment to communications to finance and other businesses have started newlinedepending heavily on images and videos to run their business. At any given time now, newlinethere is a humungous quantity of images/videos being propagated/shared/exchanged over the internet across the globe. As a result, securing such images and videos using newlinecopyright information has become important. Such copyright information is newlineembedded in those images and videos using varied available methods. Videos, with newlinesuch embedded copyright information require least alterations and highest level of difficulty to get rid of the verification information. This will ensure effective newlineimplementation of privacy, data security etc. newlineIn this thesis, we have leveraged the standard tools of data security viz. newlineCryptography and Steganography to achieve high level of data privacy and security newlinewithout compromising on performance, with minimum level of distortion along with newlinean efficient time complexity of security algorithm. newline
