Abstract: Today almost every product manufactured by the industries Even further the research on co deposition of nanoparticles such as oxides carbides or nitrides with nickel electroplating has increased during requires a coating for decorative and or protective purposes to increase its life and provide good product aesthetics with a minimum cost in the aerospace or automotive sector and in related industries Electrodeposition is versatile and one of the most effective industrial surface coating methods used for producing metal composite coatings to protect them against wear and corrosion Nanocomposite coatings by electrodeposition of nano sized ceramic particles is an innovative technology that delivers superior properties like increased hardness reduced wear and enhanced corrosion resistance for the coated components compared to the conventional pure metallic coatings The co deposition process can provide a cost effective solution to coat intricate part geometries and internal surfaces of components with a high degree of control on coat thickness and characteristics Hence it is considered as a better replacement for chromium coatings The inherent lightness and good strength-to-weight ratio of AA6061 have focused attention on increasing applications in aerospace and allied fields Since its density is one-third of the steel it replaces many metals in applications where weight is considered as a major factor AA6061 components sometimes employed in high temperature and wearing environments that require surface treatment to increase the wear resistance to avoid the replacement of parts in industrial production Interest in electrodeposition of nickel on AA6061 has increased significantly as it can enhance the performance of aluminium to some degree. newline
