Abstract: Congenital Heart Disease CHD is a heart defect or state that develops into a baby when it is in the uterus CHD is the most common congenital problem in children reporting almost 25 of all inborn malformations CHD lead as one of the most important sources of mortality and morbidity in the pediatric division in both the developed and developing countries The prevalence of CHD depends on the method of diagnosis Cardiac abnormalities are associated with hydrops fetalis in 26 of cases reported in the modern period Abnormalities are structural abnormalities cardiac arrhythmias failure myopathy infection inflammation tumors and arterial calcification Cardiac structural abnormalities are seen in association with hydrops fetalis Recent research indicates 1 35 billion children worldwide are born with CHD every year CHD incidence and prevalence varies in different countries of the Indian subcontinent and the rest of the world due to genetics environmental and cultural factors The estimated prevalence of CHD in Asia is 9 3 1000 live births whereas the prevalence in Europe 8 2 1000 is considerably higher than in North America 6 9 1000 The development in computerization in the medical field has given an impetus for researchers to work specialised in the area of medical image processing Medical imaging denotes the techniques and procedures that are used to generate images of the human body for clinical analysis or study the standard anatomy and physiology. newline
