Abstract: | Nanotechnology is one of the most rapidly advancing scientific technologies today Nanomaterials nanocrystalline materials are materials possessing grain sizes in the order of one-billionth of a meter They manifest extremely fascinating and useful properties which can be exploited for a variety of structural and non structural applications A significant property that makes nanoparticles differ from other materials is the fact that nanomaterials have a massive surface area Because of its very high surface area nanoparticles are extremely reactive compared than its bulk form This property is used to create materials with the distinctive characteristics for various applications Applications of nanomaterials include optoelectronics batteries solar cells water filtration systems catalysts pollution cleanup methods etc In the present work we have focused on synthesis characterization and applications of nanostructured materials for optical catalysis and environmental remediations Past decades light emissive photoluminescence PL materials played a vital role in researches has it holds a strong hand in real time applications viz in forensic sciences like detection of heavy metals Pb Sb even at nanogram level newline |
