Abstract: | Water Distribution Network WDN is a generalized formulation widely used by several researchers for finding optimal cost during the optimization process The optimal design of a looped network based on gravity system is defined by the set of pipe sizes which results in the minimum installation cost of the entire network The network cost optimization problem is formulated mathematically in terms of pipe diameter cost co efficiency and unit length costs Considering the scale of the problem and the frequency with which the WDN has to be handled achieving optimal cost has become a major research area in the water supply system during the past few decades The present research aims to develop certain heuristic memetic algorithms that are highly adaptive and scalable that utilizes the advantages of the proposed hybrid memetic algorithms for water distribution network optimization These algorithms tend to perform in a higher probability of performing water distribution network optimization by minimizing the cost function considered The current research consists of four modules ie developing certain memetic algorithm models for performing water distribution network optimization Gravitational Search Memetic Algorithm GSMA Cuckoo Search Memetic Algorithm CSMA Enhanced Krill Herd Memetic Algorithm EKHMA and Biogeography Based Memetic Algorithm BBMA. newline |
