Abstract: The development of solid electrolyte materials is emerging very fast for their use in electrochemical devices like supercapacitors, rechargeable batteries, fuel cells, etc. An understanding of the properties of these materials along with their applications are of fundamental and practical interest. Among various electrochemical devices, the lithium battery has drawn attention owing to its high energy and power density, and good cycling stability. However, some safety issues can be addressed and improved performance parameters can be realized by replacing conventional electrolytes by solid/quasi solid-liquid electrolytes newline
