Abstract: Cloud computing has evolved as a public computing model that offers a wide variety of infrastructure platform and software services on demand The benefits of cloud computing have prompted data outsourcing to attain more flexibility with advanced cloud data service solutions Presently the cloud holds a huge volume of data from various consumer applications for sharing and analysis which shows the increased rate of data outsourcing in the cloud Despite the benefits the cloud model brings new challenges of concern with trust privacy and security of data processing to the data owners as they have no control over the data outsourced This necessitates designing trust and privacy solutions which ensures privacy preserving storage and access to the outsourced sensitive data like medical and financial records Sensitive data outsourcing to the cloud requires the selection of trusted Cloud Data Service Provider CDSP by fulfilling customer requirements considering the vast marketplace with diverse service instances Furthermore sensitive data outsourcing demands powerful security solutions which offer access control privacy protection Though the CDSP offers security and privacy solutions there exists no reliable procedure to verify the offered security measures Therefore from the perspective of the data owner there is a need to establish a strong and efficient privacy framework to enforce trust and secure access control privacy This dissertation systematically addresses the challenges involved in ensuring trust and privacy and proposes a solution framework for integrating trust and access control privacy issues of data outsourcing The proposed system model supports trustworthy CDSP selection secure data sharing search and retrieval operations while preserving the content confidentiality newline
