Abstract: | A field experiment was carried out during winter seasons of 2017-18 and newline2018-19 at a Private Research Farm, Benda-Semaria Road, Rewa (M.P.) to newlinestudy the effect of sulphur on growth, yield-attributes, yield and quality along newlinewith nutrient contents and uptake of linseed genotypes. Amongst the linseed newlinegenotypes, JLS-67 proved the most suitable genotype with respect to growth newlineparameters, yield-attributes, seed yield, quality as well as monetary gain per newlinehectare of production. Thus, this genotype (JLS-67) gave the maximum seed newlineyield (16.95 q ha-1), seed oil content (43.81%), seed protein content (19.69%) newlineand the net income (Rs.61800 ha-1). More over the genotypes, JLS-67 recorded newlinehighest N, P, K and S contents in seed and straw, followed by JLS-27, RLC-91 newlineand then JLT 84-12-5. JLS-67 producing total biomass upto 46.83 q/ha has newlinetaken up the maximum nutrients (79.05 kg N,17.16kg O, 38.26 kg K and newline25.47kg S ha-1) from the soil. Application of fertilizer sulphur upto 60 kg/ha newlineresulted in maximum growth parameters, yield-attributes, seed yield and its newlinequality as well as monetary gain/ha. The seed yield was upto 15.68 q/ha, seed newlineoil 44.31%, seed protein 18.37% and the net income upto Rs.53267 /ha. newlineAmongst the sulphur levels, 60 kg S ha-1 recorded almost significantly higher newlineNPKS contents in seed and straw. Thus, the 60 kg S ha-1 producing total newlinebiomass upto 44.73 q ha-1 has drawn the maximum nutrients from the soil. The newlinebest treatment combination (JLS-67 with 60 kg S/ha) further augmented the newlineuptake of these nutrients. Consequently the linseed genotype JLS-67 may be newlinegrown applied with 60 kg S/ha to obtain further enhanced productivity, newlinenutritional quality as well as economical gain/ha under the existing agroclimatic conditions of Kymore plateau of Madhya Pradesh. newline |
