A novel approach for workflow scheduling in bioinformatics cloud

Abstract

The cloud computing has been based on that of the internet in which this depends on their demand and the users will perform the resource allocation A technology that has a widespread acceptance and a high performance computing will be the cloud computing and all of the Information Technology facilities have been provided to users There have been some challenges in cloud computing like security reliability resource management and performance The most critical part of this cloud computing environment will be scheduling There are resources that have been used and are also shared instead of the individual servers or the personal devices for handling applications There is a major cloud application within the bioinformatics domain in which sequencing of the genomes need a lot of computational power There has to be more control on the quantity and type of resources which are being used compared to that of the distributed systems The Resource provisioning will be required as there is flexibility and an increase in the resources will work with the scheduling algorithm that is a heuristic which decides on the VMs and how they are used during leasing and also releasing them There is one more challenge that is faced which is the pricing model for the resources on the basis of their utility Owing to the resources being heterogeneous scheduling becomes Non deterministic Polynomial NP hard and also a NP complete problem The scheduling in the cloud computing systems has now attracted good attention in research from several domains in the application of such modern heuristics. newline
