Abstract: Mobile Devices have the problem of frequent failures due to limited power The query processing in spatial databases uses the location details of mobile clients and data retrieval based on the location Moreover location is a major role and these information links the mobility to process the client query request and hence is essential for query answering Due to popularity of location based services to process the spatial queries is focusing and attractive area in mobile computing domain and present research area Caching valid regions of spatial queries at mobile clients is effective in reducing the number of queries submitted by mobile clients and to reduce the query load on the server However most mobile clients suffer from larger waiting time leading to higher power consumption for the server to compute valid regions in the existing systems Therefore it is necessary to propose new and efficient techniques for spatial query processing using location constraints which will reduce the power requirements In this research work a new proxy based approach is proposed to process continuous nearest neighbour query for effective query processing This system reduces the query processing time and power consumption by the introduction of a cache In the recent years most of the applications use mobile devices with Geographical Positioning Systems support for providing Location Based Services However the queries sent through the mobile devices to obtain such services consume more time for processing due to the size of the spatial data In order to solve this problem an efficient indexing method for providing effective query processing services in mobile computing environments is proposed works by introducing a new Net Grid based Partition Indexing approach This indexing method increases the efficiency of the query retrieval in mobile network environments
