Abstract: The present study used Descriptive survey method of research to study achievement of students in science and mathematics of ninth class students in relation to professional commitment of their teachers, school climate and administrative effectiveness of head of the institution as perceived by teachers. The sample of the study comprised of 2005 students of 9th grade (665 from Chandigarh, 681 from Panchkula and 659 from Mohali), 130 science teachers (45 from Chandigarh, 42 from Panchkula and 43 from Mohali, a) and 129 mathematics teachers (39 from Chandigarh, 39 from Panchkula and 42 from Mohali) from 40 schools of Tricity (12 schools of Chandigarh, 15 school from Panchkula and 13 school from Mohali) were selected using random sampling technique. The data collected are the achievement scores of students (in science and mathematics) and the responses given by teachers against the three Scales. Major findings (for the total sample i.e. 259 teachers) include a significant and positive correlation of achievement in combined achievement in science and mathematics with all the variables under study for total sample of Tricity. Professional commitment has the maximum contribution to the prediction of combined achievement in science and mathematics, school climate in predication of achievement in science and professional commitment in predication of achievement in mathematics. Significant mean difference have been found between achievement of students in science of schools of Panchkula and Mohali. Whereas Significant mean difference have been found between achievement of students in mathematics of schools of Chandigarh and Panchkula. newline newline newline
