Abstract: Wireless Sensor Network WSN have been deployed in almost all applications because they provide a solution which is economically feasible to the real world problems The sensor nodes have low computational capability low battery power and small memory These nodes send the monitored environmental or physical data to the Base Station BS directly This direct transmission of the data increases the data communication cost Further the increase in data communication increases energy consumption which eventually reduces the lifetime of sensor networks Hence data aggregation technique is employed in WSN to reduce the communication cost and to increase the lifetime of the sensor networks Since the nodes are deployed in hostile environment and use broadcast communication the sensor nodes can be easily captured and the aggregate data can be easily destroyed So data security is an important research issue in WSN As the sensor network is a resource constrained network the security techniques used in traditional wireless network cannot be applied as such to WSN In the existing systems securing data aggregation with reduced energy consumption is not addressed As the sensor network is applied in all the fields the security techniques utilized in one application may not be suitable to the other applications The existing system does not provide lightweight data security with reduced energy consumption in Wireless Medical Sensor Network WMSN The Intrusion Detection System IDS is the second level newlineof security mechanism for which the existing systems have not focused much on filtering out cross layer attacks newline newline
