Abstract: | newline School of Physics and Materials Science ix newlineABSTRACT newlineThe inclusive jet transverse momentum spectrum, measured in pp collision at newlines and#61501;13 by CMS, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1 35.10 and#61485; fb , is newlinecompared with the predictions of the perturbative quantum chromodynamics at nextto- newlineleading order and models of four-fermion contact interactions characterized by a newlinemass scale. No significant deviation is found between the prediction of quantum newlinechromodynamics and the measured spectrum. Using a Bayesian method lower limits newlineare set on and#923; of 25 TeV and 30 TeV at 95% confidence level for models with newlinedestructive and constructive interference, respectively. newlineKeywords: CMS, physics, contact interactions, inclusive jets. |
