Design of Ultra Wideband UWB filters have generated a great interest in the recent years due to the fast development of broadband wireless communication systems UWB filter is the front end component of a typical UWB transceiver in a Radio Frequency newlineRF communication system Filters act the best interface between antennas and subsequent stages and need to have very low insertion loss low return loss and steep roll off for spurious signal rejection Miniaturisation of bandpass filters have been an important research topic and it has become extremely challenging to design and fabricate such devices as the geometric structures become extremely small at microwave frequencies The problem is to design a compact microstrip UWB bandpass filter which is symmetric in nature and satisfies the UWB frequency norms 31 GHz to 10 6 GHz without compromising on the operational characteristics such as low insertion loss wideband rejection and better stop band attenuation newline newline
