Abstract: | quotThe research exertion regarding the thesis entitled SYNTHESIS, newlineCHARACTERISATION AND ANTIMICROBIAL SCREENING OF SOME newlineNOVEL IMIDAZOLINES is described as under. newlineThe agenda of research work was to synthesise novel bioactive entities, newlineparticularly with antimicrobial activities bearing diverse 5-oxo-imidazoline newlinederivatives. Various 5-oxo-imidazoline derivatives like amino acids, 4-amino newlineantipyrine, Thiazole, Triazole, Sulphadimidine, 2-Amino-6-methyl-pyridine, 5- newlinetrifluoromethylaniline have been prepared. Above 5-oxo-imidazoline derivatives newlinecomprising an eclectic spectrum of biological activities viz. antibacterial, newlineanticonvulsant, antipyretic, analgesic, antifungal, antitubercular, anti-inflammatory newlineetc. With a view of this applicability and chemical assortment in the newlinemolecular framework novel 5-oxo-imidazolines have been synthesised, carried newlineout spectral studies and antimicrobial studies.quot newline |
