Abstract

In this research work five different ligands L1 L2 L3 HL4 and HL5 and their metal complexes 1 20 have been synthesized from pyrimidine derivatives The prepared compounds have been structurally characterized by elemental analysis NMR FT IR UV Visible mass and ESR spectroscopic methods Crystal structure of HL4 was confirmed from single crystal X ray techniques Antimicrobial activities of ligands and their compounds have been screened on diverse bacterials Escherichia coli Klebsiella pneumonia Pseudomonas fluorescens Shigella sonnei and Staphylococcus aureus and fungal Aspergillus niger Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis Mucor Indicus and Rhizopus) strains.
