Investigations on data integrity and data replication using stochastic diffusion methods in cloud environment

Abstract

Cloud Computing provides a platform for delivery of computing services like storage networking analytics etc over the internet Such advancement in computing technologies has made major IT organizations start to move their data towards cloud environment The Cloud platform offers a lightweight flexible way of storing and accessing data with innovative newer technologies and resources This will facilitate to reduce the operational cost and to execute the computational needs in a high end infrastructure effectively A brief study made on many state of art methodologies used for maintaining the integrity of data indicates that the veracity of the data is affected by various factors like intruders corrupt cloud servers and malicious entities posing threat to data in cloud Owing to several security threats existing in cloud an effective mechanism is needed to audit the integrity of data The main newlinedrawback in existing data replication methods is that they are not able to handle dynamically changing large volume of data and obtaining additional storage resources for creation of replicas The Cloud users are not confident of posting their data in the cloud Hence the cloud should ensure the integrity of data newline newline
