Abstract: Communication Technologies are evolving at a faster rate in the recent past In this context Mobile ad hoc Networks MANET too need to keep the developing pace in line to meet out the ever increasing demands of mobile device users Advancements in the communication Technologies made Mobile ad hoc networks an important means for information or data flow anytime around the world no matter where the human or the device is in MANET is basically an Infrastructure-less network which has the capability of networking among the available alive nodes at anytime information exchange between those nodes Further the live devices which act as nodes move freely in the space and involve in a transmission at anytime as long as they are within the transmission range Whenever a communication has to happen between two nodes a path needs to be identified for transfer of information prior to the start of transmission Evidently a path consists of a source node a destination node and several other nodes in between In general the number of nodes between a source and destination is many resulting in a multi-hop transmission The process of establishing a path between a source and destination is known as routing which is a challenging task in MANET As long as the established path is stable reliable communication is ensured As the MANET is highly dynamic in nature it often faces tough challenges such as security violation route breaks packet delivery etc These issues are further aggravated by the energy factor as MANET nodes spent most of their energy on routing due to their cooperative transmission process newline
