dc.description.abstractBroadcasting of data is considered as the development of communication. With of the help of various devices, the network topologies and geographic locations information has been broadcasted. The MANET is an independent network which contains a lot of mobile users. The communication in the MANET takes place through the limited wireless links. MANET works as a mobile router where the router handles the network mobility. The network easily gets affected by wormhole attack and blackhole attacks. The malicious activity destroys the data during the transmission. The static and dynamic natures of the MANET make the detection of malicious activity. As security is a vital role in MANET system, several kinds of researches carried out in literature. In this research, an effective way to secure wireless ad-hoc networks is proposed with a cross-layer approach. The proposed approach intersects different layers using joint optimization of protocols. The basic functionality of the original layers is maintained. The cross-layer approach acknowledges the synchronization process and keeps track of every conversation in layers through optimized protocols. Every new technology is facing problems in data transmission. The malicious activities happening in the MANET creates issues. The data traffic gets affected if the malicious activity occurs. The malicious activity should be detected and eliminated. Controlling the blackhole and wormhole attacks are the main problems and a suitable method is to be framed to identify and remove the attacks in wireless ad-hoc networks. newline
