Abstract: | Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) consists of sensors capable of monitoring the health status of patients. The sensor nodes in WBAN collect the vital information and route them through the relay nodes so as to reach the destination. Routing plays an essential part in WBAN, which enables the dat to reach the destined nodes with minimum energy consumption and routing time. Quality of Service (QoS) is a challenging issue, because of the bandwidth requirements and the dynamic network topology. WBAN collects the vital signs of the human body, by implanting autonomous physiological sensors inside the human body, or, mounting them close to the phenomenon. The collected data is sent to the sink node or transmitted to the external processing unit. To improve the routing efficiency an Adaptive Routing for Dynamic On-Body Wireless Sensor Network mechanism based on the quality of the channel link is presented. Similarly, to improve the data traffic, a Multi Agent System based healthcare monitoring system is presented. Multi Agent System is developed using four agents namely, admin agent, control agent, query agent and data agent. Though the data traffic is improved, the communication delay between the sensor nodes remains unaddressed. The delay and energy consumption analysis is made in priority guaranteed MAC protocol, by considering the various priorities that are allocated to the body nodes. According to the various data types and data sizes, energy is allocated to the sensor nodes. newline |
