Abstract: | Present day advancement in communication system needs reliable newlineand efficient transmission of information over non-ideal communication newlinechannels. Error detection and correction is a big hurdle and it plays a vital role newlinereliability in data communications. Forward Error Correction (FEC) system newlineand convolutional coding are normally used in communication systems for newlineoptimum result. However, the majority of existing fixed length source newlineencoders used in transmission over noisy channels uses only grouping of data, newlinewhich may not be good option and the chances are there for source encoder newlinehaving non-optimal outcomes from coding techniques.A communication system like deep space and satellite communication need error free, efficient and burst transmission of encodeddata with repetition of data. It is challenging issue. If the repetition of codes on the encoder side is legitimately broken, then the design and execution of channel decoder can be enhanced to have efficient communication. The newlineproposed work on Enhanced Viterbi algorithm utilizes error bits and Non newlineTransmittable Codes (NTC) along with Convolution Encoder and Viterbi newlinedecoder. The proposed work is designed in such a way that it improves the newlinesolution. The complete system is implemented on Field Programmable Gate newlineArray (FPGA) board for the multi-carrier system like Orthogonal Frequency- newlineDivision Multiplexing (OFDM) using Hardware Description Language newline(HDL). This has advantages over existing forward error correction technique. newlineConvolutional encoding with Viterbi interpreting is a better method for newlineforward error correction. It is more suitable for data communication channels. newlineIt has, however, low performance metrics due to presence of burst errors and newlinediscrete data transmission over the communication channel newline newline |
