Abstract: | This present study is titled as Current trends in Corporate Training Program for IT sector with special reference to Pune Region for the period of 2006-2011 . It aims at highlighting the Current trends and practices in Information Technology companies in Pune region. Training makes its best contribution to the development of the individual as well as I.T. organizations. Study covers 30 Information Technology companies and data was collected through a structured questionnaire for corporate training with sample of 610 respondents in two groups Group A and Group B from Information Technology employees in Pune city. The present study is an effort to understand Current Trends and training practices existing in Information Technology sector in Pune Region. Training is the act of increasing the knowledge, skill and competencies of an employee for a particular job. Corporate Training Program is a short-term educational process, a systematic and organized procedure by which employees learn technical knowledge and skills for a definite purpose. The increasing competition, technological advancement in Global Information Technology sector, increases the significance of corporate training. Training matches the employee with the job from time to time. Further, the trained employees accomplish organizational changes and are ready to take any type of assignment. The success of any organization to a greater extent depends on the amount, qualitative and timely training provided by an organization. At the same time it is necessary to restructure the training programs to match the requirements of the global information technology industry from time to time. newline |
