Abstract

The human race has made a path breaking scientific journey from religious resurrection to technological resurrection, which is now being popularly referred to as Cryonic Life Extension. Cryonic preservation organisations and facilities all over the world have witnessed a steep rise in both. However, the moot question is, whether the global legal community is well-equipped to counter the tsunami of legal problems cryonic life extension technology will sweep in with it. Upon a close examination of various jurisdictions across the globe, one discovers that most legal systems are totally ill-equipped to deal with legal issues that arise for cryonic life extension. Legal development in the field has not been as brisk as scientific advancement, and law is often found to be either inadequate or non-existent in most impending fields. There are several aspects of medical field which are running ungoverned and unregulated due to the very nature of intricate science involved in it. Developing medical practices like Surrogacy, Sex change surgeries, Clinical trials, E-medicine, and most recently Cryonic Life Extension. The present research will attempt to identify such problems, examine the status of laws vis-a- vis cryonic life extension technology and then propose possible solutions to it. This study shall delve into the various facets of cryonic life extension in order to determine whether people/individuals across the globe are being exploited under the veil of science or whether they are level players in which the contract of cryonic life extension works for the benefit of both the parties. newline
