dc.description.abstractnewlineThis investigation presents the performance evaluation of protective newlinecoatings such as inhibited cement slurry coating cement polymer composite newlinecoating galvanization and the newly developed cement polymer anticorrosive newlinecoating for corrosion control of steel rebars in concrete Sodium nitrite based newlineanodic mixed inhibitor was also developed and evaluated for its performance newlineOver seven hundred experiments were conducted to assess the performance of newlineprotective coatings on high yield strength Cold Twisted Deformed CTD and newlineThermomechanically Treated TMT rebars with and without coating damage newlinein control and inhibitor admixed concrete Performance evaluation tests such newline as chemical resistance test applied voltage test impressed voltage test newline open circuit potential test macrocell corrosion test impedance technique and newline atmospheric exposure tests were conducted to assess the corrosion control newline efficacy of coated rebars Bond strength to concrete test impact test and newline adhesion tests were also conducted to evaluate the mechanical properties of newline the coating material All the experiments were conducted according to Indian newline and ASTM Standards newline newlineen_US
