Determinants of public private partnerships in infrastructure projects evidence from Developing Countries

Abstract

The present study has explored the determinants of Public Private newlinePartnerships with critical emphasis on macro-economic factors viz., economic and non-economic variables encompassing Political, institutional and governance domain; and PPP experience. The study newlinerevealed that macro-economic stability in terms of Inflation and Broad Money, International Reserves, higher incomes, large population, market orientation of chief Executive Party, Governance and hand on experience of PPP are influent drivers of PPPs. The findings and results of the study will contribute to existing PPP literature and suggested policy inputs will strengthen PPP framework in developing nations. The study is original and unique in terms of updating of sample and time horizons with respect to data and having a macro focus herewith significantly contribute. newline
