dc.description.abstractDiabetes mellitus is a chronic clinical syndrome characterized by persistent hyperglycemia. It is one of the common disorders challenging the mankind from antiquity. Though lots of treatments are available for the management of diabetes the outcomes remain unsatisfactory because of the untoward effects and lot of limitations. Use of natural products as medicinal agents is well-appreciated by the medical fraternity as they are easily accessible, economical, and considered to be safe. Earth is a place blessed with both ailments and treatments. Diseases and disorders can be treated and cured with the natures resources. It is very challenging to the mankind to search materials to treat or get rid of ailments and lots of such trials are attempted by the mankind and search is still continuing. In present research work such an attempt is done in searching the positives to treat the negatives. The negative is diabetes mellitus a disorder which is commonly seen in the living communities. The positive thing is a natural resource which is going waste in terms of many tons and parasites which grow on the tree which is again a problem to the farmer because it may decrease the yield. The plant resources selected in this research work is seed kernel of Mangifera indica belonging to the family Anacardiaceae and two parasites usually grow on this plant namely Dendrophthoe falcata and Helicanthus elasticus both belongs the family Loranthaceae.
