Abstract: Thus, the researcher has made a sincere attempt to understand, simplify and newlineput forth before the audience the collaborative nature of academia industry interface newlinemodel. The current practices and the good-to-have model show a gap. The research newlineanalysis suggests that there are certain pockets in the current scenario of academia newlineindustry interface practices which can be made more robust in terms of its nature, newlinefrequency and more importantly outcomes based. To make India truly global and newlinecompetitive it is the need of the hour to have a healthy and sustainable academia newlineindustry interface model, that will not only give rise to an enriched group of future newlineworkforce but also lead towards a knowledge economy. Quality oriented and newlinecontinuous interaction between the industry and the management institute is the newlineneed of the hour as it helps in fulfilling the needs of the industry as well as fulfils newlinethe dreams of the student community. newlineLarge opportunities that currently exist in India, with a booming economy newlinein sectors like manufacturing, hospitality, pharmaceutical, service, information newlinetechnology, FMCG ETC can be caught well by the graduates. newlineTo be able to acquire important human resources for successful newlinecommercialization and industrial competitiveness various strategies have been newlineadopted by different industries. This if combined with the efforts of the management newlineinstitutions will ease the burden of the industry to a great extent. Given the gap newlinebetween the highly evolving skill needs of the industries and those provided by our newlinemanagement institutes it becomes important for the government, regulating newlineauthorities and management institutions to understand the bridge the gap. Hence the newlineindustry and institute with intent to build stronger long-lasting synergetic newlinerelationships should work on working cohesively to bring about radical changes. newline
