Technique of inculcating vedantic methodology in current system of education

NCERT in its attempt to protect social matrix of India unwittingly ignores the fact that each child is different 7. Differentiating students by IQ, EQ, SQ, Weak, Bright etc. is as though turning the wheel of time back to age of Caturvarnya 11. Differentiating profile of student should be based on universal parameters21 which can be derived from learner profile of Vedantic22 students. Teaching methodology26 of Vedantic teachers was based on holistic learning to promote Differentiated Instruction28 that was based on learner s qualities. newlineUpaniand#7779;ads are a rich source of teaching techniques used by Rishis to impart knowledge to students having different learner profiles. Many teaching methods and approaches can be derived from interactions of Vedantic teachers with their students in Daand#347;opaniand#7779;ads118-174. In Bhagavad Gand#299;tand#257;185-215 the teacher Lord Krshna uses about ten teaching methods and approaches as and when the student Arjuna exhibits different profiles of a learner. Brahma-Sand#363;tra217-233 gives a glimpse of teaching method which makes the student devoid of all doubts and confusions. Applying these teaching techniques along with theory and practice of multiple intelligence and integrated curriculum245 is suggested to improve the quality of teaching254 and learning in current system of education246. newline
