Abstract: SSA, the umbrella programme of elementary education in India is trying to provide the access of elementary education for all. In Jharkhand, SSA has been implemented by the Jharkhand Education Project council (JPEC). Despite the implementation, all PVTGs show 42.39% literacy rate where Parhaiyas are at the bottom with 33.1%. newlineThe Introduction chapter focuses on the educational status of the Parhaiyas of Jharkhand. On the education of tribals and particularly on the education of PVTGs.
