dc.description.abstract | The aim of the thesis is to design novel newlineleads for Mycobacterium Tuberculosis (Mtb), which can act as potential targets for Tuberculosis (TB) therapy. The challenges in TB therapy are associated with prolonged treatment, drug resistance and inefficacy of drugs against the dormant bacteria. The transcription proteins Sigma F, Sigma L and the efflux protein DrrA are treated as novel drug targets to identify new lead molecules, which can address the lacunae in the present TB therapy. newline | |
