Abstract: | Employee engagement will be considered as a strategic technique for the service organisations to survive and to sustain the prevailed extreme competitive environment Amabile and Kramer (2011). Further, they also specified that the employee engagement is a tool to survive in the down turn economy which makes a big difference in the service sector than usual i.e the effective employee engagement strategies bring the effective results for the organizations. The studies of Leiter and Bakker (2010) raised the impressions over the concept of employee engagement and stressed the importance of employee engagement in the service sector. They also stated that the employees should be much energetic and the dedication levels towards the work should be more than usual in the modern era. To attain all the above-prescribed tasks, the employee engagement works like a strategic tool. newlineThe IT sector is primarily human efforts-centric industry. In this sector compared to the other resources such as, money, material and management people will be considered as the vital factors which drive the IT sector. Hence, it is required to understand the human resources of the organization in a scientific manner. Furthermore, it is also required to engage their workforce effectively. Based on the previous literature, it is derived that there is a connection between the employee engagement and the employee satisfaction. Some other studies quoted that the satisfied employees will be loyal to the concerned organizations. So, this study emphasized to understand the determinant factors such as nature and content of job, career advancing, rewards and recognition, team climate and autonomy which drive the employee engagement. newlineFurther, the researcher considered the employee engagement variable as the moderating factor and tested its impact over the employee satisfaction. It is also tested the mediating impact of employee engagement over the employee satisfaction and employee loyalty. |
