A Study on Consumer Awareness with Regard to Security and Privacy in Electronic Banking Services in Udaipur City

Abstract

Electronic Banking is a subject receiving great attention in banking industry and regulatory body. A decade ago all the banks offer their services through traditional way but in present scenario almost all the banks offer their services through electronic medium such as Internet, Mobile banking as their distribution channels. Electronic banking reduces the cost to the banks and act as the convenient mode of banking from the customer s point of view. Despite of several benefits security and privacy of information is one of the major issues which consumers face while using the electronic banking services. In the light of this, the present study entitled, A Study on Consumer Awareness with Regard toSecurity andPrivacy inElectronic Banking Services inUdaipur City. newlineThe study has been conducted among the consumers who are using Electronic banking services in Udaipur city. The study is based upon a sample of respondents on a sample of 550 respondents, purposively selected with a convenience approach. The findings are mostly based upon the enquiry made through a specifically developed tool based on 5-point Likert scaling. The findings have been presented into 6 chapters followed by a sixth chapter entitled, summary, conclusions and recommendations.
