dc.description.abstractnewlineSatisfaction is the most renowned word of current era as everyone is striving hard to achieve this. Any individual whether serving any organization or managing his own enterprise, ultimately urges to remain satisfied. Similarly in education industry too satisfaction is of utmost significance as academician has to deliver their knowledge and skills to the students. Efficiency and Effectiveness largely depends on it. Everyone needs to be satisfied in his/her field. It indicates a paradigm shift from hardwork to smartwork in any organization. On the other hand, competition in industry is also increasing. Hence, a need is generated to understand the need of the employees in terms of their compensation, job security, career growth etc. so that satisafction can be generated. The study attempts to analyze the demographic profile in context with Herzberg Motivation theory and various factors affecting satisfaction level of employees The study is based on National Capital Region with a sample size of 450 academicians. The study was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and hypothesis were tested using Factor Analysis, ANOVA, Regression and Pearson Correlation Test. The results intended an acceptance of alternate hypothesis towards Career Growth, Job security and Compensation impacting overall Job Satisfaction of academicians.
