Comparative study of personality and self esteem among physical education teachers and various subject teachers of Kashmir valley

Abstract

The researcher is the student of post graduate teaching department of physical education in Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar Punjab. The main purpose of the present study was to find out the Comparative Study of Personality and Self-esteem among Physical Education Teachers and Various Subject Teachers of Kashmir valley . The study was delimited to 80 teaches, which were further divided in following groups i.e. Physical education=20, Commerce=20, Arts=20, Science =20, All Subjects were chosen throw a general method of random sampling, from different colleges of Kashmir valley only those colleges were selected which were under the Kashmir University newlineIn this study standard questionnaire was used for the collection of data. The study was delimited only to following psychological variables, Personality (Home, Health, Social and Emotional) and Self Esteem. The statistical analyses and interpretation was done on the basis of data collection. The data was analyzed and interpreted by using Anova Test. newlineRESULTS: - With the limitations of the study and from the statistical analysis of the collected data it is concluded that: newline1. firstly, Physical Education teachers significantly more Total Personality as compare to Commerce, Arts and Science teachers. Secondly, Arts teachers significantly more Total Personality as compare to Commerce and Science teachers. Then Commerce teachers significantly more Total Personality as compare to Science teachers. newline2. firstly, Commerce teachers significantly more Self Esteem as compare to Physical Education, Arts and Science teachers. Secondly, Science teachers significantly more Self Esteem as compare to Arts and Physical Education teachers. Then Physical Education teachers significantly more Self Esteem as compare to Arts teachers.
