Low commodity prices, the agricultural economy, operational problems, and increasing newlinecosts were the most frequently mentioned problems cooperative management faced over the past newlineyear. Three of these four problem areas excluding cooperative managers nationally regardless of newlinetheir principal product, major function, size of cooperative, or location. Among the four, low newlinecommodity prices with nearly 20 per cent of the responses, was the most often cited. This newlineincluded low prices for cotton, cottonseed, sweet potatoes, almonds, apples, pears, fresh fruit, newlinemilk, sugar, grains, and eggs. newlineThrough this research study, efforts are made to know whether agro based newlinecooperative undertakings like sugar, dairy, spinning mills in Solapur District are developing and newlinewhat is the role of these agro based cooperatives in the development of Solapur District. newlineThe title of the research study is THE STUDY OF DEVELOPMENT OF AGRO newlineBASED COOPERATIVE UNDERTAKINGS IN SOLAPUR DISTRICT.
