dc.description.abstract | Present study deals with the phytochemical and pharmacological (Antiinflammatory and Anti-arthritic) evaluation of the plants L. aspera, L. nodiflora, newlineM. alba and N. indicum. The species selected were reported to have Antiinflammatory and Anti-arthritic potential in traditional medicine. However, the newlineactivities were either not validated or the extracts used were not characterized newlinethoroughly. Hence the present study is taken up. Phytochemical studies newlinecarried out include Micro chemical (elemental Analysis), Extraction of plant newlinematerial, Preliminary Phytochemical studies, HPTLC Fingerprinting, GC-MS newlineAnalysis, UPLC-HRMS analysis and isolation of compounds. Three different newlinemethods (Xylene induced ear edema, Formaldehyde induced ear edema and newlinearthritis, CFA induced paw edema and arthritis) were employed for evaluating newlinethe anti-inflammatory and Anti-arthritic potential of the selected plants. | |
