Abstract: | Recent advances in the area of low-power microelectronics and miniaturization, have led to newlinedesign and proliferation of wireless sensor networks. These networks are capable of newlineautonomously monitoring and controlling the environment. Chapter gives an insight on the newlinearchitecture of WSN, sensor and differentiates WSN, cellular network, MANET based on newlinenetwork infrastructure and characteristics of WSN. newlineFor in-hospital or in-home patient monitoring till date, health problem diagnostic occurs only at newlinethe server but never at the actuator. Transmission of data from the sensor to the server needs newlineefficient routing protocol and channel allocation at MAC layer. Ruting protocol considered newlinedepends on the data gathering model and in-tern on the algorthm paradigm used by the newlineUhealthcare application. Chapter details the generic ubiquitous sensor network components for newlineany application. Huge data arises due to continuous monitoring of an environmrnt or patient s newlinevital health metrics. As server is beyond the 100m range with demand to Wifi standard for newlinesensor s real stream data transmission to it. WSN implementation in Uhealthcare domain is newlinecritically discussed here. Also chapter comments on the available DBMS and database support at newlinemicroprocessors. newlineThis paper views current implementation of complex operations at sensor data newlinefor UHealtCare domain. Our focus is on the implementation of outlier detection technique newlineat sensor device for regular monitoring of sugar and BP level in the body to newlineknow weather the combination of the two leads to critical condition, which could be newlinenotified as an alert. As per our finding UDBMS has been developed for deployment at the newlinesensor to dynamically create and store databases here and to execute ad-hoc query at sensor newlineitself. Work has to be done to ensure the viability of implementation of complex operation newlineat sensor node. newlineWe propose an UhealthCare model, which works in preventive mode i.e. data from two newlinephysiological sensors (to measure blood sugar and blood pressure), is analysed at newlinesensor/cluster head f |
