Abstract: The city of Taj is one of the well-known tourist destinations in India. This research evaluates the relationship between the employee wellness programs and the performance of the organizations. The industry chosen due to its need and attractiveness was the hotel industry. Lately, this industry has experienced increased number of tourist arrivals. This can only be done with the services of a healthy, happy and satisfied employee of the hotel. So it s important to understand the factors contributing to wellness and how they affect the organizational performance. newlineTherefore, the factors affecting the wellness of the employees in the hotels were tested and ranked in this research using weighted average and ANOVA. Similarly to test whether there is a relationship between the employee wellness programs and the organizational performance, correlation and regression analysis was used. Also, for ranking the hotels based on the level of wellness facilities provided to its employees, wellness indices were prepared. Correlation was used for exploring the relationship between the ratings of the hotels and the wellness programs. The study was conducted on the 17 selected hotels out of the total 35 hotels operating in the urban area based on the existence of the wellness interventions in the hotels. The selection of the hotels and sample was based on the judgmental and stratified sampling. The sample size was calculated representing every department of each hotel to be 210 employees and managers. The primary data was collected using the standardized and self-developed questionnaire. It was found that the employee wellness programs have significant effect on each variable of the performance of the organization. The factors affecting the individual wellness of the employees in the hotels were identified from the literature and ranked. The indices of each hotel assisted in ranking the hotels based on their excellence in the area of wellness. It was suggested that these wellness interventions should be aligned with the mission, vision and aims of the originations by incorporating them in the policies of the organization and thus making them an integral part of the system in order to achieve holistic wellness and performance. newline newline
