Abstract: Education is a priority in our society and the importance of the teacher in the educational process is unquestionable. In the educational institution, a teacher s role is crucial. The quality, competence, character, and effectiveness of teachers are undoubtedly the most significant factors influencing the quality of education. Therefore the teacher will be most proficient in this work when his/her own aspiration, needs, satisfaction are fulfilled. Each teacher has the basic aspiration to be understood, accepted and appreciated as a complete and unique human being. The basic need of the teacher is to strive, to fulfill, acquire self-esteem and self-worth to build an individual and unique identity. When a teachers perception is not good for themselves and towards others, it may lead to aggressive behavior, frustration and will hamper the personal growth and the behavior of the teacher with his/her colleagues. It will not be in harmony which directly affects teaching and ultimately the student s future may get affected by it. Therefore, it is necessary for a teacher to improve the professional relationship with colleagues and oneself and should be balanced psychologically, socially, spiritually and emotionally and for all these factors the phenomena of Self-Construal is responsible. newlineIn the present study the problem pertaining to Inter-Personal Relationship, Decision-Making and Quality of Work Life in relation to Self-Construal of university Teachers was assessed and analysed by using mixed method approach. Quantitative and Qualitative data were collected simultaneously for arriving at conclusion. Descriptive Survey Method was employed for the quantitative approach whereas Generic Qualitative Method was used under the qualitative approach. The sample of 449 university teachers and 20 university administrators from Agra city was selected through proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Self-constructed tools were used for measuring explanatory and criterion variables viz; Self-Construal, Inter-Personal Relationship, Decision-Making and Quality of Work Life. MANOVA, Bivariate Regression and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were the statistical techniques used. Statistical and Qualitative analysis revealed that this Self-Construal has significant positive effect on Inter-Personal Relationship, Decision-Making and Quality of Work Life of university teachers. newline
