Owing to rapid developments in automation systems for precise newlinecontrol performance requirements conventional control methods are not newlinealways adequate On the other hand practical control problems are usually newlineimprecise The input output relations of the system may be uncertain and they newlinemight change due to unknown external disturbances New schemes are newlinerequired to solve such problems One such approach is to utilize fuzzy control newlineFuzzy control is based on fuzzy logic which provides an efficient newlinemethod to handle inexact information as a basis of reasoning With fuzzy newlinelogic it is possible to convert knowledge which is expressed in an uncertain newlineform to an exact algorithm In fuzzy control the controller can be represented newlinewith linguistic if then rules The interpretation of the controller is fuzzy but newlinethe controller is processing exact input data and is producing exact outputdata newlinein a deterministic way Most of the industrial processes are multivariable in nature The newlinemulti input multi output systems have drawn attention to research due to newlineincrease in complexity and interactions between input and output Such newlineprocesses are found in process industries in many forms such as separation newlineprocess etc Distillation process is one such multivariable system newline newlineen_US
