dc.description.abstractnewline Existence of human lives greatly depends on being in harmony with the newlinenature. Food, Shelter and Clothing are the basic needs of humanity. To provide food newlinesecurity in the growing population and in the available resources, the factors newlineaffecting the production of crop has to be identified. The objective of this work is to newlineanalyze the parameters influencing the Crop Yield and to suggest a semi-parametric newlinemodel to forecast the Crop Yield (CY). The parameters considered are Minimum newlineSupport Price (MSP), Consumer Price Index (CPI), Food Price Index (FPI), Annual newlineRainfall (AR) and Area under Cultivation (AUC).The Crops considered for analysis newlineis Rice, Maize and Gram. The influence of economic factors (MSP, CPI and FPI) newlineand ecological factors (AR, AUC) on CY is analyzed using Multivariate Analytical newlinetechniques (MVA) like Linear Regression (LR), Factor Analysis (FA) and Canonical newlineCorrelation (CC). LR is used for analysis and also to forecast the CY of RICE, newlineMaize and Gram. FA identifies the variance among the variables considered and it newlineascertains the impact of factors on CY of Rice, Maize and Gram
