Abstract: Fabrication of nanomaterials with definite size, shape and composition is very important due to their interesting and unusual properties. A number of strategies have been attempted in the past to accomplish this using either top-down or bottom-up approaches. Among them, solution based low- temperature wet chemical synthesis method is the most effective method to achieve nanoscale metals, nanoalloys in its metastable form. These nanomaterials find wide applications in various fields such as diagnosis, pharmaceutical, wound healing, water treatments, food packaging, biosensing, catalysis and therapeutic applications newline
