Abstract

This research thesis entitled Multiculturalism in the works of Amy Tan and Anita Rau Badami explores the concept of multiculturalism and highlights the features of multiculturalism as exhibited in the writings of Amy Tan, and Anita Rau Badami. Multiculturalism has a tremendous impact in many spheres of life in contemporary society because of the continuous flow of migration. Multiculturalism provides one roof to the people having different cultural background. The literature in English has become multicultural since the global writers have been writing about given culture. Multicultural literature explicitly reflects the works of multicultural societies and hence commands the realm of multiculturalism. In this view,the works of Anita Rau Badami and Amy Tan are equally powerful as they contribute significantly to the multicultural writings. newline
