The Small Medium Scale Entrepreneurs Perception Towards the Different Types of Credits Offered by Public Sector Undertaking Banks to Cuddalore District

Abstract

The growth of Micro, Small and Medium scale industries in India determine the growth of the nation. As per the reports of Central Statistical Office (CSO) these Small and Medium Scale Industries contribute nearly 37.54 percent to the Indian GDP. We knew that industry can be broadly classified into large, medium and small in size and all these three categories of the industry are contributing towards the upliftment of nation s GDP growth. As far as the bankers are concerned they are always sticking on their rules and regulation and lending collections of loans to and from the customers. The research design of this research work is concerned descriptive in nature the final sample size is 605. The entrepreneurs strongly agreed that their banks have sufficient collateral / mortgages to pledge against the credits availed from banks. The entrepreneurs of SMEs have moderately agreed that at the time of sanctioning the loans, there exist a gap between a customer s perception of the experience. Entrepreneurs of service sector with capital invested more than 1.5 crores to 2 crores have moderately agreed towards knowledge gap. newline
