Biometric Personal Authentication Using Keystroke Dynamics

Abstract

Computer security is becoming an increasingly important topic in today s society, with ever increasing connectivity between devices and services. Stolen passwords have the potential to cause severe damage to companies and individuals alike, leading to the requirement that the security system must be able to detect and prevent fraudulent login. Keystroke biometrics is the study of the typing behaviour in order to identify the typist, using features extracted during typing. The features traditionally used in keystroke biometrics are linear combinations of the timestamps of the keystrokes. Now a days dependency upon mobile devices has been increased, we can store sensitive information in mobile devices and also perform business transaction through mobile devices. So, there is a necessity to protect the mobile devices from the imposters. To find better solutions to secure mobile devices is the main research work done across the world. newline
