In the study, academic stress and academic achievement were analyzed as a dependent variables under the influence of two independent variables: family climate and school environment. 600 students from Government Sr. Sec. School are taken as a sample. Major findings revealed that there exists negative relationship of academic stress with family climate and school environment and academic achievement is positively correlated with family climate and school environment. The study is helpful in identifying the influence and difference of the selected variables on academic stress and academic achievement among adolescents of economically weaker sections. It is also helpful in exploring the factors having the highest, lowest or negligible influence of the selected variables over the academic stress and academic achievement among adolescents of economically weaker sections. Furthermore, study will help the teachers to understand the academic stress of the adolescents and implement healthy and conducive environment in the school and home so that the students can overcome their academic stress and improve their academic achievement. newline
