Abstract: | Algae play a vital role in the current decades. Algae are submillimeter newlinephytoplankton, show a wide variety of shapes, sizes, colors, and newlinesurvive in many diverse types of ecosystems. One of the developing newlinebusinesses in the current years is the products based on algae. The algae are newlineused to produce biofuel and to manufacture medicines. Apart from that they newlineare used for monitoring the environmental changes. So in order to identify newlinethe species the Image Processing plays an important role. In the existing newlinemethods the sample has to be taken and has to be processed and then the newlinespecies are identified using Flow cytometry, DNA analysis and other newlinetraditional methods. They are time consuming and expensive. Nowadays the newlinespecies of the algae identified using image processing techniques.Automatic identification of biological images is a most important area of existing research where images are transformed into information that can be used later for image characterization, classification or description using image processing techniques. The algae images from various dataset are used for processing which are microscopic images. The microscopic images are affected by two imperfections namely additive noise and nonuniform illumination. The most significant factor that affects the appearance of an image is illumination. It repeatedly go ahead to fade the arrangements or inhomogeneous intensities of the image due to diverse albedos (texture) of the entity surface and the shadows emit from dissimilar light resource directions. newline newline |
