Abstract: | Single crystals are the backbone of the modern technological revolution. The impact of single crystals is clearly visible in industries like semiconductor, optics, etc. In the current years, the innovation and investigation of crystal development has progressed quickly for the advancement of new non-linear optical materials. The craving to use the properties of these materials in applications, for example, media communications, optical information processing and optical data handling has made requirement for new materials with vast second request susceptibilities. Now a day s crystal growth is the quick growing field in research as enormous demand of crystals for a number of applications such as they are used in semiconductor devices like electrical diodes, photodiodes, transistors, integrated circuits and magnetic devices such as optoelectronics, transformer cores, superconductors, tape heads, quantum, nonlinear optics, quantum electronics and telecommunications. In order to investigate the crystal properties, the following structural, functional and thermal analysis of pure, barium and strontium doped cadmium tartrate oxalate single crystals were grown by the single diffusion gel method. The different properties of morphology, structural and thermal of the crystals were analyzed by using XRD, FT-IR and TG and DTA and SEM- EDAX methods. From the XRD results of pure cadmium tartrate oxalate crystals observed that the grown crystals are single crystalline in nature and monoclinic phase. FT-IR studies used to denote the chemical compound and the functional group of grown crystal. newline newline |
