Abstract: | The field of power electronics is currently experiencing unprecedented newlinegrowth. The availability of new energy source, storage device and their newlineapplications has rapidly expanded the purview of power conversion to cover newlinemany sectors of society. The exponential growth in power converters is due to newlinemany factors, paramount among them being technological advancements newlinemade by the semiconductor device industry, which has led to the introduction newlineof high speed and high power semiconductor switches. Generally, power newlineconverter based systems consist of source, load, sensing units, and the newlinecontroller. Development of closed loop controllers is essential for regulation newlineof the power transfer process in power converters.Out of different forms of power conversion, DC DC power conversion is widely utilized in various areas such as bio-medical, military, newlinetransportation, telecommunication, computer peripherals, robotic actuators, newlineelectric vehicle and renewable energy power systems. The rapid increase in newlinethe utilization of electronics loads with high power to volume ratio newlineencapsulating high efficiency has made the DC chopper technology newlineubiquitous in energy conversion. Consequently, a quantifiable amount of newlineresearch has done in the development of several new typologies and its newlineextensions like Cuk, Single Ended Primary Inductance Converter (SEPIC), newlineKY Converter and Luo-Converters (LCs).In this research work, the implementation of LCs with voltage-lift, newlinesuper-lift and ultra-lift techniques, resulted in enhanced performance such as newlinelarger voltage gain ratio, high power density, eliminated ripples in capacitors newlinevoltage and inductor current. Representative topological involving the newlinePositive Output Elementary Super Lift Luo-Converter (POESLLC) newline newline |
