Abstract: | This research work investigates the various methods of maximum newlinepower extraction in solar PV systems. The various methods such as couple newlinematching best generation algorithm, aged panel reconfiguration algorithm, image newlineprocessing based electrical reconfiguration algorithm and thermal image newlineprocessing based fault identification algorithm are proposed in this work. The newlinecouple matching best generation algorithm is a new active electrical newlinereconfiguration algorithm for the partially Shaded Photovoltaic array systems. newlineThis algorithm can produce higher power compared to other methods which are newlineproposed earlier. In the proposed method, total Photovoltaic array is split into newlinetwo half, one is the male part and another is the female part. Each part is having newlineequal rows and almost equal columns. The couple matching best generation newlinealgorithm is introduced in this work, which uses short circuit current of each row newlineand switching matrix circuit to extract maximum power. The short circuit current newlineis used to find the weak and healthy rows of both male and female part and newlineswitching matrix circuit is used to couple the weaker with the healthier for the newlinebest power generation. This reconfiguration is simple, and easy for newlineimplementation. The proposed system extract maximum power compared to newlineother conventional methods. In this research work the proposed method is newlinediscussed with 3×4 array, which can also be extended for any type of array newlinecombinations. The simulation of the developed technique is performed in newlineMATLAB software and the results are verified in hardware. The aged panel reconfiguration technique is developed to enhance the output power in aged solar PV power plants. The main problem in the solar PV newlineis its efficiency. highly decreased because of the following newline(i) physical damage, (ii) improper maintenance and cleaning and (iii) aging. newlineAging of solar PV panel is mainly occurred due to expose it to changing newlineatmosphere for years. newline newline |
